Chemical Description
Tetradecyl Dimethyl Amine Oxide (OA-14) is an amine oxide based zwitterionic surfactant with a C14 (tetradecyl) alkyl tail. Tetradecyl Dimethyl Amine Oxide (OA-14) is used as a foam stabilizer and hair conditioning agent in some shampoos and conditioners. Like other amine oxide based surfactants Tetradecyl Dimethyl Amine Oxide (OA-14) is antimicrobial, being slightly more effective than lauryldimethylamine oxide against the common bacteria S. aureusand E. coli.
Tetradecyl Dimethyl Amine Oxide (OA-14) mainly used in shampoo, make the hair more supple, easy to comb, foam delicate, rich luster, can also be used for tableware, bathroom, building walls and other hard surface cleaning agent, to give the product to thickening, synergism and reduce irritation.
